+ La Salle State Bank Fee Schedule

The following fees may be assessed against your account effective 3/28/2023.  Items in bold are effective 6/1/2023.

* Nonsufficient Funds (NSF) Fees:  If an item drafted by you (such as a check) or a transaction you set up (such as a preauthorized transfer) is presented for payment in an amount that is more than the amount of money available in your account, and we decide not to pay the item or transaction, you agree that we can charge you an NSF fee for returning the payment. Be aware that such an item or payment may be presented multiple times by the merchant or other payee until it is paid, and that we do not monitor or control the number of times a transaction is presented for payment. We may charge you an NSF fee each time a payment is presented if the amount of money available in your account is not sufficient to cover the payment, regardless of the number of times the payment is presented. For example, you write a check from your account with us and the check is returned for non-sufficient funds, we may charge you a non-sufficient funds fee. If that same check is then represented to us for payment and the check is returned for non-sufficient funds again, we may charge you NSF fees the second time the check is presented for payment and returned for non-sufficient funds. For more information regarding NSF fees, please call our customer service department at 815-223-8800.

** Available Balance Due to Holds:  For example, if you have $50 in your account and use your debit card to purchase a shirt for $30, the store seller can ask your bank to preauthorize the payment. The bank would then place a hold on your account for $30. As the debit card transaction is yet to be posted to your account, your current balance would be $50, but the available balance would only be $20. If you then spend another $50.00 at the store and we pay the debit on your behalf, you will be responsible for paying the overdrawn balance and we may charge you overdraft fees.
